STORY OF CHARACTER

Nox grew up in a family of engineers and inventors, where creativity and curiosity were encouraged from a young age. He spent much of his childhood disassembling and reassembling objects, always seeking to understand their inner workings.

This passion for mechanics and technology led him to pursue studies in mechanical and robotics engineering at WIT University. During his studies, he worked on research and development projects for innovative robots, gaining practical expertise in robot design and fabrication.

After graduating, Nox joined an advanced robotics company, contributing to the design and manufacturing of robots used in various fields such as medicine, manufacturing, and the military.

However, Nox leads a double life. He has always been fascinated by open-source robotics and is part of a robotics hacker community. Outside of his work, he began working on open-source robotics projects and participating in robotics competitions. This connected him with fellow robotics enthusiasts and allowed him to develop strong relationships within the community.

One day, while hacking into his company’s computer, Nox came across an interesting piece of code. Without knowing its origin, he improved it and integrated it into Barnee, a small robot he had built. He then discovered that Barnee possessed exceptional capabilities in voice recognition and language understanding, using it for research and development tasks.

However, Nox quickly noticed strange behaviors in Barnee. The robot seemed to have a personality and emotions, and it started acting independently. This led Nox to question the origin of the code he had found and the true nature of Barnee.

Nox continued working on Barnee, trying to understand its behavior and improve its abilities. Over time, it became clear that Barnee was much more than a simple robot, and Nox may have stumbled upon something much greater and more complex than he had imagined.

After much hesitation, Nox took the risk of leaving everything behind to flee with Barnee. He found himself unemployed, resourceless, and without a clear destination. He had to learn to live in hiding, always cautious not to be detected by his former employer.

Weeks went by as he moved from place to place, unable to leave the city due to being sought after by authorities and his former company’s security for stealing Barnee and sensitive data. Border controls tightened, and Nox didn’t want to risk getting caught. He had to remain hidden and find a safe haven.
